Entertainment Weekly has released new production stills along with a behind the scenes photos from Gifted. I have updated the gallery with the new photos.

Chris Evans is trading in his Captain America uniform for his next movie, but he’s still playing a man on a mission.

In Gifted, directed by Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer), Evans stars as Frank Adler, a single man in coastal Florida raising his child prodigy niece, Mary (Mckenna Grace). His efforts to give Mary a normal life despite her mathematical skills run him up against his mother (Lindsay Duncan) and leads to a custody battle over the young girl. Octavia Spencer also appears in the film as Roberta, Frank and Mary’s landlady and best friend, and Jenny Slate stars as Mary’s teacher, Bonnie.

EW can now unveil exclusive new photos from Gifted, which opens in theaters on April 7. Keep clicking for more of Evans, Slate, Grace, and the rest of the cast.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY – Marvel Studios has spent eight years building a universe. Now it’s time to blow it up.

The heroes of Captain America: Civil War are doing what most burned-out, overworked professionals do when faced with unrelenting crisis: They’re turning on each other. This year’s Summer Movie Preview from Entertainment Weekly splashes the battle across four separate covers, with exclusive new photos and details showing how Marvel Studios pulled off its story of hero vs. hero.

“This is an argument and a struggle with your family, for your family, and against your family,” says Chris Evans, who has now played the super-soldier Steve Rogers in six Marvel films (counting a cameo in Thor: The Dark World.) Normal people may not settle their quarrels by hurling each other through walls, but the actor says the emotional deathmatch in Civil War is just an exaggerated version of an ultra-tense holiday dinner. “I think it’s much more relatable, much more akin to [disputes] we have in life,” Evans says. “Arguments with your family can be far worse than struggles with your enemy.”

USA Today gave a summer movie preview earlier today. Captain America: Civil War was mentioned and they released a new production still of Steve and Bucky. Check it out in the gallery!

Captain America: Civil War (May 6)

Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) were childhood friends when they joined the Army in World War II, but they became enemies in modern times after Steve spent 70 years encased in ice as Captain America and Bucky was turned into the brainwashed assassin Winter Soldier. Now, with Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and the government after them, they’re the only family they’ve got. “Bucky was always looking out for him when Steve was a smaller weak kid who needed direction and guidance,” Stan says. “Steve’s become the caretaking parent and Bucky is more of an unstable child now — someone who’s really struggling to have more of a sense of identity and is totally lost and confused with who he is.”
